Summertime Condensation

Did you know windows could condensate on the outside in the summertime? It is unusual and is a phenomenon that began to happen with the invention of the Low Emissivity Glass.   It is similar to wintertime condensation only the season is different and the location of the condensation is different.   Here is what happens; during the summertime if you use your air conditioning to cool your home, there are some instances where the cold air from inside the house will cool down the outside pane of glass to a temperature that will cause the warm moisture in the outside air to condensate on the glass. It usually happens in the morning when the humidity is high outside. It will usually burn off by midday as the sun warms up the glass.   If this happens to you, while an occasional nuisance, you can be sure that you have a good quality, LowE insulated glass unit in your home.   This can happen on vinyl replacement windows, wood replacement windows and new construction product as well.
